I apologise for the confusion.

Actually while I was writing that email I was on the phone to a mate of mine telling him how important it was to get a website using his own name. So that’s what I had sent out as the link, the link to this site.

Actually I must say it was a rather inspiring phone call as Ian wanted some help with his website  Mums On A Mission

So as we were yakking, I was looking to see if his name was available so he could use it for his own website to put a blog onto so he could use it to talk about his “health and wellness” issues and how he was going about it etc. It turns out his name was available.

In the meantime, I was writing an email to send out to my downline at WebBizInsider
to promote my fledgling site that I’m using as a platform to help out those, like Ian, who are a bit unsure of what to do when it comes to websites etc.

And being late, when it came to adding in the URL to send people to, I had put in this domain name, as the subject of the night was the benefits of having your own Website with your own name as the website address.

The reason being, as I have a bucket load of websites myself, what I should really be doing is sending people to this website so they can find out about all my other sites, projects, etc.

They can easily remember – Umm what was it Tim was yakking on about – oh yeah his website is www.TimBrownlaw.com – I’ll go there and take a look…

Great Plan but unfortunately, I’ve not yet set this up properly to do that. Which takes me back to my favorite subject because it’s something I seriously need to take on board if I’m going to be in a position to do this (and other stuff) full time, online.

That favorite subject is – Planning. Which I am slowly getting my head around but having the long chat with Ian letting him know what he should be doing, was also voicing what I should be doing.

So Ian, thanks for the phone call mate. There is nothing that teaches you more than voicing what you know to help someone else out. Hearing those words come out of my mouth, means I know what to do, but I was realizing, “hey I’m not doing this”.

I Need more phone calls so I can dig out what’s floating around my head that I don’t know I know… Sounds strange. Possibly!

There might be something to that whole process that’s worth looking at in more depth.

AND as always, check what you are about to send out to any list. Although, if I hadn’t done my little whoopsie, I’d have no need to write this post. I’ve found this whole little experience quite enlightening.

Well here is an update. Yep, I went and joined up and I must say there is LOT of videos to watch. Which is a good thing.

If you do join, I would highly recommend that you watch the introduction Video which goes through all the sections that are available.

Then, as I am doing, I’d have a good look around.

Now the Videos are downloadable, which I find to be a great benefit, as you can download once – watch many times.

I’d also suggest having FreeMind up and running while you listen so you can quickly jot down the main concepts. Then you’ll have a summary of everything that’s mentioned. These act as memory joggers for what’s been covered.

Boy, there is a lot of content and definitely worth the monthly membership Fee. There is new stuff being added every month.

I’ll be back to pad this out a bit more, it’s bedtime at the moment.

No, I’m not speaking of those kinds of thoughts…I’m talking about all those ideas spinning around inside you skull and being fired up with even more as you go wondering about the interenet and reading emails etc.

I don’t know about you, but it gets kind of noisy up in my “Creative” department and the “Get down and doing it” department ends up screaming “hey keep it down in there…” and nothing gets done!

That’s kind of a scary picture of your mind yelling at itself. If you are a shrink reading this, I’m fine, the pills are working great!

But seriously, it’s very easy to get distracted and have ideas etc bouncing around which is nice, but then they get forgotten and nothing is completed and I may as well not have bothered and just gone to bed.

So this post is one way I’ve recently discovered to let the “Creative” Department go wild when it needs to and put in writing what it’s on about ( that’s me actually paying attention and taking heed of those guys which makes them quiet again) which then let’s the “Action” Department sit down and do their thing.

Or it could be about, how to go crazy and start giving parts of your mind names….. But that’s for another time…

FreeMind – no it’s not a mental state, it’s a very neat software package that will let your “Creative” Department Yell out what they are on about and let you keep up and write it all down.

Then the more sane departments can put the mess into some order and do something with it…

And if you don’t know yet… It’s a program that let’s you create Mind Maps.

NOW before you go all “Mindmaps… those are weird things” on me let me just say, that being able to splurge your thoughts and more importantly – organise them afterwards is a Huge Time Saver AND a great way to get organised and if you are like me and have big dreams and never get too far in achieving them, well this is for you.

Now I must also say here, that this is a program that you’ll install and look at and have a play with and probably go – oh that’s nice and run off and do something else….

DON’T!!!!!! It can be a bit hard to see how this program can be helpful , until you learn how to use it and See it in action.

Which is an item on my projects Mindmap, create some videos on using this software, because, as others already have, you’ll thank me for bring this to your attention.

AND IT’s FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus it runs on any operating system.

Some good things that won’t be obvious the first time you use it.
1. You can insert Hyperlinks to websites. Think of a node called Research and have a bunch of links with some notes added….
2. You can link to other mindmaps. Think of having a central mindmap – much like a Home page on a website, to all of your other mindmaps ( mindmap organisation)
3. Go absolutley crazy and just start creating nodes without worrying about the mess. Just blast away…. Then drag things around on the screen. Create more meanignful node and group things together… (brainstorming)
4. Create To Do lists and be able to mark them off when they are done…(Wow I’ve been organised and done something)
5. Be able to see the BIG Picture at a glance…

Now I’ve used this to create my 1 year plan, and broken those down into months, weeks and days….All accessible from my central Mindmap…

It’s called Freemind and you should get it and install it and have a play with it ( it has help built in that shows what it can do ) and I’ll get to making those videos.

And more importantly, should YOU join?

At the moment due to circumstances beyond my control, I’ve had to hold off from joining this membership site as my present internet connection speed is well, temporarily throttled back to being at Dial Up Speed.

Yes, someone in this household managed to exceed our download allowance (not mentioning names here but shes a good cook). The result is, watching or downloading videos for the next 9 days is more painful than watching grass grow.

Anyway, I have been able to watch the videos on the home page.

There are three of them. The first is Mack saying Hello and explaining the wonders of his membership site.

The third is a guided tour through the members area ( which is a nice touch ) so you can see what is available.

The second Video is a number of testimonials. To be honest, I don’t think that they contribute anything. Having a bunch of people saying how wonderful the members area is, is well, a bit Ho Hum!

So Video Number 3 is the one that peeked my interest.

Now I’ve paid my money to a be on a number of membership sites in the past, and from those experiences, and money spent (gurgle gurgle) I’ve not yet found one in this area that is a one stop shop!

By that I mean, if you are going to join a membership site such as this, you want it to be the one and only one.

And by the tour in Video three with Mack making it very clear that he and his gang are putting up fresh content, videos and more importantly, stuff you can use on your websites to do what all the many info courses out there tell us to do…

That would be the selling point for me.

For the monthly fee, ( and I’ve paid this much in the past for those average memberships ) the amount of content and what appears to be a whole range of tutorials makes it a potential winner.

So it’s a matter of…
Here’s the Timber, here’s the nails, here’s all the other stuff and here’s the plan and here’s everything you need to learn how to put it together. In the one place. Well I will be checking it out and joining. (in 9 days – Oh it’s 8 days now )

So I’d definitely say, go and take a look at this yourself.

How To Make Money From Passions

*To make money online many people jump right in before they are properly prepared.*

You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don’t just jump right in unprepared.

The same applies to the Internet marketing industry even though there are unsavory people out there who’d have you believe it’s a “Walk in the Park” and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

And I’ll have to admit, it is a walk in the park compared to what you have to put up with in the working world punching a clock being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

*Most People Will NOT make a Dime!*
Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that?

My answer begins with the age-old chicken or egg question, “what comes first the chicken or the egg”? Personally I vote for, well never mind, each argument you or I make comes back to the same old conclusion – I have no clue and I don’t think many of us do either.

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

*Passion* in this sense simply means that you’ve researched and like the company and products or services. It is then that you translate that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany Passion.

*I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything.* But I’m concerned about those of you who are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.

Now, I’m not trying to make anyone believe that Passion is the only thing necessary. Because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. Those things are often learned from the company you join – but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.

*It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won’t attempt to do the work you are being taught.*

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won’t stumble.

*You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!*

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on,
You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

*Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I’ll start that business -* does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet “guru” does that, don’t be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

*Note: By the way it’s your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.*

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don’t first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

*Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.*
